The use of DIY technicians is on the rise!

Many small organisations use either in-house or outsourced IT solutions when running their business, however a study has shown that 62% of staff take up the challenge of facing the problem themselves. 9% of these employees do have some form of technical knowledge, whereas the other employees do not, therefore facing roughly 2 hours of downtime per week.

Around 60% of business employees feel that by having better IT skills they would be more productive in the workplace, whilst increasing their opportunity for better career choices. Just under half of the employees interviewed said that it is not always software which causes problems within their company, as majority of the time they face hardware issues which they feel are very challenging to resolve.

This survey, which took place in June 2013, shows that many employees feel the responsibility for giving employees IT training is in the hands of the employer, and majority of the time the employer does not give as much training as is necessary. As an easier and more certain approach, many SME’s are now using, or looking to use, outsourced or in-house IT specialists as they feel their current employees do not have the vital skills to overcome any technical issues within the workplace.

By using an outsourced IT company of specialist technicians, your business can be sure that the IT is being dealt with correctly, and if any problems arise the support team will guide you on how to overcome this quickly and efficiently.
