How Important is Face-To-Face Communication?
There are a number of technologies available to us now to communicate with people. Many people may be obliged to pick up the phone or email a friend, colleague or client rather than speaking with them face-to-face.
At Southbank IT we prefer to meet all of our clients face-to-face rather than relying on email or phone to speak and discuss any matters. We feel that by speaking to you directly. it will enable us to create a better relationship with you overall.
Some people may feel that face-to-face communication is more important as by using this method you are able to obtain more from a person’s body language, eye contact and tone of voice, whereas through emails or texting this does not come across as easily.
Within businesses, face-to-face communication is important as by holding meetings with colleagues or clients you are able to reach a decision quickly rather than sending numerous emails to hopefully come up with a solution or idea. Communicating with someone directly also allows you to have a more in depth conversation to meet an objective or make a final decision.
Have a think, when you are at work, at home or out and about do you tend to communicate more through email, calls or texting or do you take part in more face-to-face communication?
