Samsung have launched the worlds first smartphone with a curved screen!
Don’t you think Samsung are doing well at the moment! After their success with the latest phone releases, they launch a smartwatch which can make calls, receive emails and take photos. But now after all this success they launch the world’s first smartphone with a curved screen – the Galaxy Round. Although, it is only available in South Korea, but no doubt it will reach the UK in no time.
This phone is somewhat similar to the Galaxy Note but Samsung decided to move a step closer to creating a device with a flexible yet potentially unbreakable screen. The 5.7 inch display of the Galaxy Round has a slight horizontal curve and surprisingly weighs less that the Galaxy Note 3, which supposedly allows a more comfortable grip than other touch-screen models on the market.
One of the key features of this device is its tilted function which allows users to check information including missed calls and battery life without turning on the home screen. Samsung’s rival, LG Electronics, is planning to introduce a smartphone with a vertically curved display in the next coming weeks.
The idea of flexible display technology has existing long before the technology was actually formed. Samsung has been working on this concept for a while now and has finally taking a step forward ahead of others with The Galaxy Round to be the first to create an unbreakable gadget and flexible device. It has been a talking point for some time now, but Samsung have actually taken the approach to create and work with such device.
So what do you think, is a flexible device agood idea?
